Reporting
Whether you or someone you know has been involved in an accident, sustained an injury, or has experienced any sort of traumatic event, do not hesitate to call or text an on-call coordinator for assistance at 202.773.1744. The on-call coordinator is a trained PASS peer debriefer and a fellow ATO or AVS employee. These individuals are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When directed, leave a message detailing your name, facility, contact information and a brief description of the event or situation. The peer debriefers check these messages regularly and will return your call as soon as possible. All calls are confidential.
Please reach out to the peer debriefer no matter the incident, even if you are unsure whether you or the facility needs formal assistance. Ultimately, any indication that there has been a critical incident or event allows the CISM team to ensure that everyone involved is safe or needs assistance. In the circumstance that multiple employees are impacted by the event, there are peer debriefers who can travel to your facility to meet with your group directly.
Important to note: A call does not affect the medical records or reporting requirements for you or anyone else involved in the event. Calls to the PASS CISM Team, telephone discussions with the debriefer, or even a formal meeting with a CISM peer is NOT A REPORTABLE EVENT for anyone's medical records or reporting requirements.
